Strong character: the many window areas characterise the look
The aluminium yachts from Allures are considered indestructible. With the new line, the French can prove that robustness can also be beautiful

The first plan drawings for the new Allures 39.9 were only presented this week at the Salon Nautique in Paris. The boat is intended to replace the Allures 40 (test in YACHT 23/2007) in the small but comprehensibly graduated blue water range of the aluminium builders from Cherbourg. In direct comparison to the previous model, the Allures 39.9 has been upgraded with a whole series of improvements in detail as well as many visual adjustments. The redesign of the cabin superstructure is particularly striking.

Based on the design of the larger Allures 51 (test in YACHT 11/10) and Allures 45 (YACHT 5/11), the lines have become rounder and extend harmoniously over the cockpit coaming to the aft. This looks good and protects the cockpit better against water, wind and weather. As a shipyard speciality, the cabin superstructure of the new 39.9 is also built as a GRP construction together with the cockpit recess and the stern end. This allows the Berret/Racoupeau designers to be more creative in their design. Pure aluminium constructions, on the other hand, often appear angular. In addition, the composite construction efficiently saves weight for the superstructure.

Otherwise, the new Allures 39.9 remains true to the shipyard's typical design attributes. This means: aluminium construction in the round bilge, flat long keel with integral centreboard, twin rudders and the characteristic equipment carrier at the stern.

For the interior, the 39.9 essentially adopts the interior layout of the predecessor model Allures 40. The standard boat is the two-cabin model with a spacious cabin in both the fore and aft sections. In addition, there is a large cockpit that can be accessed from the inside and can also be converted into a workshop. The stepped interior level is a special feature. The actual saloon area is lower than the galley and navigation area. Instead, the new boat has large windows in the hull.

The model, plan drawings and detailed information on the new Allures 39.9 will be presented by dealers Uli and Nils Schürg (Blue Yachting, Bremen) at the trade fair in Düsseldorf (Hall 16, Stand D 42/56/58). The larger and conceptually similar Allures 45 will also be presented there for the first time. The price for the Allures 39.9 has not yet been finalised. According to sales partner Schürg, the price is expected to stabilise at around 300,000 euros.
